Nevalainen starting from pole took the start followed by Björk, disapered from the field. Nevalainen losing his advantage having "cooked" his tyres. Björk closed up using a mistake from Nevalainen on lap 8 to take the lead. Nevalainen pressed on failing to pass Björk, who won with 0,6 seconds. Lailavuo unchallenged third. Johnsen lost 4th on the last lap when hist Mitsubishi engine started to throw out its water. He coasted in fifth.

Björk took the lead in the Sunday race, but Nevalainen slipstreamed past on the long straight on lap two. Björk kept close but went momentarily off in a last attempt for victory on the last lap loosing 5 sekunds but keps second place. Team Manager Kurt Sevon from the Motor UP-team was pleased with his drivers first F3 win. Anttila narrowly beat FTR Team mate Lailavuo, while the third FTR-team member Finnish girl Sanna Pinola almost caught Lindum after a tardy start, setting third fastest race-lap.

Over 5000 spectators on Saturday. Björk on pole with 1.20.716.
Björk and Nevalainen in a clas of their own. Pinola staiöled in the start
and was catching Lindum when Ekorness broke his gearbox and spun.
His car blocked the track and the safety car was send out after 8 laps.
Race redflagged after nine laps.
Johnsen broke a driveshaft in a test start running up to the grid. Kvia
outbraked himself on the first lap and took out even Hans Schöld.

Over 10.000 spectators from Norway and Sweden. Björk and Nevalainen
pulles away again. Lindum lost his lefr front wing on Pinolas rear wheel.
Sanna Stopped after 3 laps with a punctue. Johnsen Stalled at  the start.
Mullin heid fifith until rain made the highest part of the circuit slippery
losing a place when backing off.

Nevalainen took the lead in front off Lindum and Björk. Pinola outbraked
Björk into the seconf corner but lost the place again in the next corner.
Lindum later spun and dropped to fourth.

Nevalainen took the start followed by Pinola and Lindum. Björk crawled
away from the grid in fourth gear last, having lost 1. and 2- completely. He
charged up to fifith using only 3. to 5. gears and loosing four laps behind an
uncooperative Thomas faale. Nevalainen eased up at the end letting Pinola
close to 1,1 second. Places six to ten within 2,4 seconds with dust and sand
flying in the last corner.

As Thed Björk lost his Championship Lead in Denmark Nevalainen
looked a strong bet for the title.But Björk tooke pole position and the
lead as Sanna Pinola stalled on the grid (starting second) and took no
further part. Nevalainen lost the grip and ground and finished three
seconds behind. He was pushed from behind by Jochim Johnsen
(finally back to speed) and Jussi Lailavuo. Faale did his best race of the
year finishing fifith.

8. Alastaro 12.09.99 (FIN)

With Lailavuo on pole in front of Björk and Nevalainen only fifith
on the grid the Championship looked like going in favor of Björk.
Lailavuo tooke the start in front of Björk with Nevalainen up to third.
It took Björk until lap 5 to outbrake Lailavuo on the outside into
Las Palmas corner.Going round the corner side by side
Björk accelerated better out of the corner and was able to force
himself onto the finish line.On the way to fourth Johnsen had to defend
against Faale almost putting him off the track.
Pinola started fast from last position but got stuck in seventh place
as her gearbox problems returned losing one place to Lindum on the
run up to the flag.
